Welcome to Ocean Challenge // a new concept in diving has arrived
The research vessel Ocean Challenger will explore the greatest dive sites on earth in the company of scientists, conservationists, and wildlife film makers. The Ocean Challenger is a 184 foot long research and expedition diving vessel, fully equipped to launch expeditions anywhere on earth. The vessel will embark on a circumnavigation in late 2008, and at each location will undertake research, conservation and filming work, using project leaders from science and the media.
The team members for these projects will be normal divers, volunteers wanting to experience something more from their diving holiday. The Ocean Challenger offers the chance to dive the worlds’ legendary sites, to sail and live aboard a spacious, well equipped, modern expedition vessel, and to give something back to the oceans by assisting in genuine conservation and research projects.
The expeditions are a mix of research, conservation, filming, and recreational diving – it would be madness to visit these locations and NOT explore the very best dive sites they have to offer!
They will also offer skills development and education on the remarkable environments around you in the form of lecture programmes conducted by resident experts.
All levels of diver are welcome – there are roles for everyone.
The Ocean Challenger is a bold venture, a chance for every diver involved to grow and develop, expand their skills, be part of an enthusiastic, friendly team, and give something back to the sea.
Do something you will remember for the rest of your life. Join us as we sail and dive the world.
