The quest for Ocean Challenger continues

Finding the right expedition vessel is proving exhilerating! Ian has circled the globe over the last six months seeking out the perfect ship – this will, after all, be our diving, filming and research base for several years to come.

We were narrowly out bid recently on a research ship in Aberdeen, a wonderfully gnarly old vessel full of character that would have been at home even in the most remote sea.

There is also a beautiful – and huge! - research vessel in New Zealand. Discussions remain ongoing.

We are also continually scouring the internet and liaising with ship brokers – in essence we want to get this exactly right. The Ocean Challenger is the very heart of our operation, and we want the vessel to be iconic and emotive.
